Responsibilities |
| Assisting the mayor with
government work, and deal with relevant affairs under
the mayor’s authorization, Wang Chengmin is
responsible for the work of general planning and statistics,
personnel, industry, social security and stability,
examination and approval system reform, the promotion
of key projects, the construction of the soft investment
environment, and investment and financing reform,
etc. He is in charge of the Government Working Committee,
the Supervision Committee, the Metrology Committee(Price-Regulation
Bureau), the Economic and Trade Committee, the Research
Office(System Reform Office), the Personnel Bureau,
the Labor and Social Security Bureau, the Statistics
Bureau, the National Fund Office, and the Key Project
Promotion Office. He is also responsible for the coordination
of electricity, post, telecommunication, China Unicom
and China Mobile which are directly under the provincial
or central government. |

| Wang Chengmin: male, born in Dalian
in 1948, is currently the executive deputy mayor of Dalian
Municipal Government. |
| Wang Chengmin is a MBA graduate
from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics. He successively
served as section chief of the Finance Office of Dalian Municipal
Government, the Finance Department of CPC Dalian Committee,
and the Municipal Economic System Reform Office respectively,
deputy general secretary of Dalian Municipal Government, Party
secretary and director of Dalian Commerce Committee, Party
secretary and director of Dalian Planning Committee from 1978-1997.
He was appointed vice-mayor of Dalian Municipal Government
in 1998, and was appointed executive deputy mayor of Dalian
in February 2001.
