World famous supermarket groups like Walmart and Carrefour have also set their branches in town. Tianjin Pedestrian Street and Qingniwaqiao block comprise the city''s chief shopping destinations.

In general handicrafts and embroidery works are traditional popularities of foreign tourists. Here in Dalian, shell carving and glassware (with the "crystal" trademark) and a kind of handicraft drawing made of beans are recommended souvenirs for home. Dalian boasts diamond reserves making up 54% of the national total, yet there''s no local brand.
